Lady Cats fall on the road at LC

The Logan High School girls’ basketball team fell to 1-1 on the season with Thursday night’s 38-34 loss at Lincoln County in a non-conference game at Hamlin.

Logan led 11-9 after one quarter but fell behind 19-16 at the half and 29-25 after three. The Lady Panthers edged the Lady Cats 9-8 in the fourth to set the final score.

Ally Sipple led Logan with a 12-point effort. Beth Adkins tossed in 10 points, while Kaileah Williams had five, Britney Welch three and Alexis Perry and CeCe Knox had two each.

Lincoln County was paced by Rachel Pennington’s 11 points. Lydia Roberts netted nine, Carly McCommas seven, Alyssa Adkins five, Alli Farmer four and McKendra Wiley two.

The Lady Panthers improved to 2-1 with the win.

Logan travels to Mingo Central on Monday to play the Lady Miners at 7:30 p.m.
