The Man High School volleyball team split in a pair of matches last Thursday in a tri-match.
Man lost to Pikeview 2-0 then came back to beat Westside 2-0.
The Lady Billies, which have made two straight trips to the Class A state tournament in Charleston, now stand at 5-3 on the season.
“It’s still early in the season, but we need to learn how to compete and play hard in every game that we play to give ourselves an opportunity to win more matches,” Man coach Orlando Washington said.
Man travels to play at Scott on Tuesday.
The first home match of the season for the Lady Billies is Thursday against county rival Chapmanville.
Both have 6 p.m. first serve times.
