CHAPMANVILLE — Week 2 of the Coalfield Youth Soccer League is in the books and there were plenty of matches played over the weekend at the Mullins Soccer Complex and Tiger Stadium in Chapmanville.
In the 17-and-under division, Haze beat the Wild Billies 4-1. One goal each was scored by Hailey Chewning, Zachary Lamb, Ryan Belcher and Stephen Clemens. Joey Vinson scored the lone goal for the Wild Billies.
In a 12-and-under match, the White Lightning was a 7-1 winner over the Vikings. Jamari Turner, Payton Hoffman and Madison Mullins all scored two goals each for the White Lightning. Beanie Page also scored. Dylan Watkins scored for the Vikings.
In another U12 match, the Ball Hawgs were crushed Infinity 12-2. Peyton Thompson tallied seven goals for the Ball Hawgs. Maddie Mullins and Cassandra Carillo netted two goals each and Bryson Adkins also scored. Jesse Blankenship scored both goals for Infinity.
The Chaos defeated the Coal Diggers 11-6 in a U9 matchup behind the six-goal effort from Westin Adkins and the five-goal performance by Kendan Trent. Leland Anderson and Tyler Oney had two goals each for the Coal Diggers. Trinity Trump and Garrett Dean had one apiece.
The Aztec Warriors won 5-2 over the Mean Machine in a 9-and-under match. Michael Ojeda and Kaleb Burford had two goals each and AJ Motto one for the winners. Mason Skidmore and Aiden Baker netted one goal apiece for the Mean Machine.
The Orange Crush crushed the Grape Apes 12-5. Sully Ooten led the winners with nine goals while Gavin Noe had two and Jacob Runyon one. The Grape Apes were led by Jacob Deer’s four goals and Brandon Altizer’s one.
The M.O.D. blanked the Blue Devils 7 to nil. Halle Crouse and Carter Neal had two goals each and Addyson Amick, Chloe Murphy and Madison Haugen all had one goal.
In a 12-and-under match the White Lightning shocked the Vikings 10-2. Beanie Page had four goals for the White Lightning, while Madison Mullins had three, Jamari Turner two and Payton Hoffman one. Bryson Smith and Allie Burton had one goal each for the Vikings.
The Ball Hawgs were an easy 13-5 winner over the Vikings. Peyton Thompson reached the nets five times for the winners. Maddie Mullins had four goals, Cassandra Carillo three and Emily Runyon one. For the Vikings, Bralen Adams had two goals and Allie Burton, Bryson Smith and Kendra Ooten all had one goal each.
In a U9 match, the Aztec Warriors doubled up on the Blue Devils, winning 6-3. Kaleb Burford had four goals for the Warriors. Michael Ojeda and Sebastian Carrillo had one each. Brayden Likens scored a hat trick of goals for the Devils.
The Orange Crush smashed the Coal Diggers 12-2 behind the eight-goal performance of Sully Ooten. Jacob Runyon scored a trio of goals and Conner Higginbotham also had a goal. Leland Anderson and Tyler Oney had one goal each for the Coal Diggers.
The M.O.D. easily defeated the Mean Machine 7-1. McCormick Ilderton had five goals, while Halle Crouse and Chloe Murphy had one eaach. Hunter Baker scored for the Machine.
