MAN — The Man High School volleyball team improved to 10-6 on the season with Thursday night’s 3-0 win at home over Westside.
The Lady Billies prevailed 25-11, 25-18 and 25-17.
Allie Meade led Man with 16 assists and had five aces. Hunter Harvey followed with eight assists and had four aces. Hannah Harvey had a team high 18 kills.
Shauntae Miller had three kills and five aces. Tiffany Belcher also had three kills. Addison Gibson followed with two kills.
The Man JV team also won 2-0 over Westside. Madie Meade had two kills and eight aces. Ashley Vest had two assists. Morgan Muncy, Breona Childress and Sasha Moody each had one kill.
The Lady Billies are scheduled to play Sherman at home on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Man plays in the Charleston Catholic tourney on Oct. 10.
* The Chapmanville Regional High School volleyball team won 3-0 on Monday at Logan.
The Lady Tigers took the first set 25-17, then rolled 25-19 and 25-23.
“We didn’t play very well but that made the third time that we played bad on a Monday. Maybe I shouldn’t schedule Monday games,” CRHS coach Johnny Williamson said.
