The Logan Middle School football team improved to 5-0 on the season with Wednesday night’s 36-12 win at home over county rival Chapmanville at Logan Stadium.
LMS led the Tigers 22-6 at halftime and cruised to victory.
The Timberwolves were led by David Early, who was 2-for-6 passing for 64 yards with a 61-yard touchdown pass to Troy Cowart and a successful two-point conversion to Corey Townsend.
Early also carried the ball 12 times for 87 yards with four touchdowns and a two-point conversion.
Troy Cowart had 10 carries for 139 yards for Logan. Sidney Chapman had one carry for 54 yards. Hunter Mileto had two totes for 13 yards and Tanner Lambert had one carry for five yards.
Cowart led LMS on defense with 13 tackles. Damian Dehart had eight tackles, an interception and a recovered fumble.
Hunter Mileto had seven stops and recovered one fumble. Early had six tackles, while Lambert, Connor McGrew and Chapman each had two tackles.
Hunter Meade forced one fumble and had two tackles. Alex Hensley, Hunter Trent, Ethan Carter, Dylan Adkins and Kaleb Williamson made one stop each.
Chapmanville’s statistics were unavailable.
Logan is scheduled to host undefeated county rival Man this coming Thursday at 7 p.m. Both teams are 1-0 in county play with wins over Chapmanville and the county title will be on the line.
