CHAPMANVILLE — Chapmanville Regional High School running back Tanner Dillon has been named as this week’s Logan Banner Player of the Week.
Dillon, a senior, had three rushing touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a 39-6 homecoming victory over Mount View last Friday night at Chapmanville.
Dillon finished the game with 16 carries for 77 yards and also had four catches out the backfield for 45 more yards. He also kicked 3-of-4 of his point after boots.
Chapmanville improved to 6-0 on the season and play at 5-0 Class A No. 1 Man this Friday night for the county championship.
The Tigers were ranked No. 4 in the state last week in Class AA.
On the season, Dillon has 115 rushes for 619 yards and 10 touchdowns. Also, the Chapmanville kicker, Dillon has made 27-of-31 point after kicks and has booted 2-of-3 field goals, including the 35-yard game winner earlier in the season in the Tigers’ 38-35 victory at Herbert Hoover.
