MAN — The Man High School volleyball team spiked Sherman 3-0 on Tuesday night at home.
The Lady Billies prevailed 25-18, 25-10 and 25-18.
Allie Meade had 10 assists and two aces for Man, while Hunter Harvey had 12 assists and three aces.
Shauntae Miller had nine kills, three blocks and four aces. Hannah Harvey contributed 12 kills and one ace.
Tiffany Belcher had eight kills, one block and two aces. Morgan Muncy had one kill and one ace.
The Lady Billies (11-6) play Saturday in the Charleston Catholic tourney.
“This is a tournament that will let us know if we are taking the necessary steps to compete at a higher level. This is a tournament that we could win if we begin to start playing at a higher level with consistency,” Man coach Orlando Washington said.
On Tuesday, Man is set to travel to Chapmanville to play in a tri-match with Herbert Hoover. Next Thursday, Man plays at home against Wyoming East.
Lady Tigers top MC
The Chapmanville Regional High School volleyball team beat Mingo Central 3-0 at home on Tuesday night.
The Lady Tigers won 25-10, 25-18 and 25-10.
“It was nice having Savannah Wiley back in our lineup. I thought we played very well after being off over a week due to homecoming,” CRHS coach Johnny Williamson said.
Chapmanville is now 12-3 on the season.
Lady Cats 9-10
The Logan High School volleyball team stands at 9-10 on the season after splitting a pair of matches on Sept. 30.
The Lady Cats beat host Lincoln County 2-0 and lost to Tolsia 2-0.
Back on Sept. 29, Logan won 3-1 at home over Westside.
LHS was slated to host Wyoming East on Tuesday and then play at Westside on Wednesday. Logan plays in the Breast Cancer Awareness tourney on Saturday at Chapmanville at 10 a.m.
