After last week’s 14-12 overtime win at Tug Valley last week, the Man High School football team has gotten itself back into the top 10 in the Gazette-Mail’s weekly prep football poll.

Man (7-2) sits at No. 10 in Class A in this week’s poll by the media. The Hillbilllies host Van (7-2) in Friday night’s regular season finale and Senior Night game.

Chapmanville Regional (7-3) has fallen out of the top 10 in Class AA after last week’s 54-35 loss on the road at Wayne.

It was the third straight loss for the Tigers, which observe a bye week this week.

Both the Billies and Tigers have advanced to post-season play beginning Nov. 13.

Cabell Midland (9-0) is once again the unanimous No. 1 this week in the Class AAA poll. The Knights host Hurricane on Friday night.

Bridgeport (8-0-1) is still the unanimous No. 1 in Class AA this week as the Indians received all 10 first-place votes. Bluefield is second and Mingo Central and Tolsia, a pair of Cardinal Conference teams, are third and fourth respectively.

Magnolia (9-0) is again the unanimous No. 1 team in the state this week in Class A.
