Matthew Cox has been one of the few bright spots for the Logan High School football team in a rather dismal season.
Cox had 183 yards of total offense in last week’s 35-14 win by the Wildcats at home over Oak Hill as Logan improved to 3-6 on the season and snapped a five-game losing skid.
Matt Cox had 24 rushes for 150 yards and two touchdowns on runs of 3 and 3 yards. Cox also had two catches for 33 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown grab.
On the season, Cox has 123 rushes for 838 yards and nine touchdowns and has another 450 yards as a receiver, reeling in 25 catches and scoring six more touchdowns, including a 70-yarder in the win over Lincoln County earlier in the season.
Logan is scheduled to close out the season this Friday night at home against Scott (2-7) on Senior Night.
