CMS cheerleaders win Black Diamond title

The Chapmanville Middle School cheerleaders captured the Black Diamond Conference championship on Saturday afternoon at the CRHS gym.


CHAPMANVILLE — It was a great day for the Chapmanville Middle School cheerleaders on Saturday.

CMS won the Black Diamond Conference championship with a score of 236.3.

The tournament was held at Chapmanville Regional High School’s Danny Godby Gymnasium.

Chapmanville won by a wide margin over Man Middle School, which was a distant second with 215.3 points.

Madison was third place with 191.8 points.

George Washington Middle School took fourth place with 184.5 points.

Duval (180.6) was fifth place, Van Middle School (149.2) sixth and Poca (136.9) seventh.

The 2015-16 Chapmanville Middle School cheerleaders are made up of: Hannah McCloud; Jerzee Maynard; Olivia Rice; Kaylee Tomblin; Addy Willis; Abby Pridemore; Sydney Varney; Alley Hensley; Nina Ellis; Hayley Adkins; Karyn Shepherd; Grace Alshire; Mattison Williams; Emma Renner; Heather Hainer; Grace Keffer; Olivia Cox; Emma Lee Adkins; and Jocelyn Stafford.

CMS is coached by Michelle Bragg.
