Lady Cats routed by GW

It was an ugly night of basketball on Friday night at the Tolsia Shootout.

The Logan High School girls’ hoop team couldn’t muster much offense as the Lady Cats lost 41-24 to George Washington.

Logan dropped to 2-2 on the season with the loss. George Washington, playing in its season opener, is 1-0.

Senior center Monica Mitchell scored a double-double for Logan with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Ally Sipple had five points, Jamyya Knox four and Brigette Duncan and Kaileah Williams tossed in two each.

GW led 13-11 after one quarter, 31-19 at the half and 37-22 after three.

Logan was set to play Saturday night in the tournament consolation game against Princeton.
