Lady Cats top Princeton in tourney

The Logan High School girls’ basketball team beat Princeton 63-47 on Saturday night in the consolation game of the Tolsia Shootout in Glenhayes.

Logan (3-2) was led by Jamyya Knox, who poured in 22 points. Ally Sipple contributed 10 points for the Lady Cats.

For Princeton, DayDay Eaves led the way with 20 points while Danielle Hall finished with 15.

The Lady Cats are scheduled to return to action Thursday at home against Huntington. Tip time is 7:30 p.m.

Summers County 46,

Chapmanville 37

The Chapmanville Regional High School girls’ basketball team lost 46-37 on Saturday night to Summers County in the Rogers Oil Classic championship game at Summers County High School.

Abby Marcum scored nine points for Chapmanville (2-2).

Morgan Miller netted 19 points to lead the Bobcats (4-0). Whittney Justice pitched in 10 points.

The Lady Tigers opened the tourney last Friday with a 57-44 win over James Monroe.

CRHS hosts Sissonville on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
