The Logan High School girls’ basketball team took another loss on Wednesday night at home against Ripley as the Lady Cats fell 47-38 to the Vikings.
Logan, having a down season after years of success, dropped to 4-11 with the loss.
The Lady Cats led 12-9 after one quarter but fell behind 21-19 at the half. Ripley edged Logan 13-12 in the third to expand the lead to 34-31. A 14-7 fourth then put it away.
Monica Mitchell paced Logan with a double-double as she had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Beth Adkins had nine points, while Ally Sipply had seven and Brigette Duncan five. Britney Welch, Ashton Spry and Jamyya Knox had two each.
LHS is scheduled to host Winfield on Saturday at 7:30 p.m at Logan’s Willie Akers Arena. The Lady Cats will be hosting Senior Night and will honor former player and Marshall University standout Shayna Gore at halftime.
Gore was last year’s West Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year.
