CHAPMANVILLE — It was no contest last Thursday as the Chapmanville Regional High School girls’ basketball team pounded on the Mingo Central Miners 76-37 in the regular season finale.
The Lady Tigers improved to 12-9 overall and 8-6 in the Cardinal Conference with the win. CRHS was scheduled to play Tolsia on Wednesday night in the Class AA sectional tourney semifinals at Logan. Mingo Central (6-12) was slated to face No. 1 seed Wayne in the sectionals, also Wednesday night in Logan.
Abby Marcum led Chapmanville with an 11-point game. She also had three assists and one rebound.
Shea Pridemore tossed in eight points. Freshman Kaylee Blair had eight points, six rebounds and one steal.
Madison Webb, another freshman, had seven points, five boards and one steal for Chapmanville.
Katie Workman had seven points, three boards, one blocked shot and one steal.
Shian Meeks tossed in six points and pulled down five boards. She also had five steals and three assists.
NeNe Osborne had six points, two boards, three assists and three steals.
Taylor Manns had six points and two rebounds, while Lexi Martin had six points, two boards and one steal. Jacy Baxter had six points, one assist and one steal.
Reese Ellis had three points. Megan Satterfield had two points. Richelle Thompson didn’t score but had two rebounds.
Kylee Varney had 15 points and Hannah Church 11 to pace Mingo Central.
