CHAPMANVILLE — The Chapmanville Regional High School boys’ basketball team is peaking at the right time.
At the end of the season.
The Tigers continued to roll with Friday night’s 58-36 Cardinal Conference victory at home over Herbert Hoover in the regular season finale.
Chapmanville, which improved to 14-8 overall and 8-6 in the conference, is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Class AA sectional semifinals against Tolsia (12-10) at Logan High School’s Willie Akers Arena.
The Tigers have won six out of their last seven games heading into the post-season.
Chapmanville split with Tolsia during the regular season, losing 80-60 on the road and winning 71-57 at home late in the season.
Herbert Hoover dropped to 15-6, 9-4 with the loss. The Huskies also lost to Chapmanville 63-60 in the season opener on Dec. 15.
Sophomore Dylan Smith led the Tigers with a game-high 19 points. Drew Williamson had 18.
