Hatcher to host Runnin’ Wildcat Basketball Camp

Allan Hatcher is breaking in with his new team as the head coach of the Logan High School boys’ basketball team with the three-week summer practice period.

Next month, he will conduct his first ever Runnin’ Wildcat Basketball Camp.

The camp is scheduled to run July 15-17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Logan’s Willie Akers Arena.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. on July 15.

This year’s campers will have the opportunity to learn from coaches on the Logan basketball coaching staff, as well as special guest speakers and Wildcat players.

Many contests will occur during the camp and the fundamentals of shooting, dribbing, passing and defense will be emphasized.

Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt and prizes will be awarded daily. Lunch will also be provided.

The camp is sponsored by Pepsi/AquaFinal, Family Discount Pharmacy and WVOW radio in Logan.

Hatcher, the former head coach at Chapmanvile Regional High School, was recently hired as the new LHS coach, replacing his son, Mark Hatcher, who resigned after 15 seasons.
