The beat continued for the Chapmanville Regional High School baseball team on Tuesday night as the Class AA No. 2-ranked Tigers crushed the Poca Dots 15-0 in a Cardinal Conference road game at Poca.
The Tigers, 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference, have outscored opponents 87-3 so far this season.
Chapmanville wasted no time against Poca, touching home plate five times in the top of the first inning. CRHS then added a run in the second, four in the third and five in the fourth.
The Tigers outhit the Dots 12-2. Poca had three errors in the game to none for Chapmanville.
Chris Bailey was the starting and winning pitcher for the Tigers. He went five innings and struck out 10 batters.
Noah Dingess led Chapmanville at the plate as he was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Josh Zigmond was 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Austin Henrich was 2-for-2 for Poca.
CRHS is scheduled to host Triple-A Lincoln County on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Ted Ellis Field. The Tigers then play at Sissonville on Friday at 6 in a Cardinal Conference game before traveling to Class A Van on Saturday at 6:30.
