The softballs are flying out of the Logan Softball Complex.
For the second straight day, the Logan High School softball team hit three home runs in a game as the Lady Cats blanked county rival Man 8-0 on Thursday night.
Taylor Napier, Brooklyn Queen and Monica Mitchell all hit homers for Logan, which won its fourth straight game and improved to 8-4 on the season.
A day before on Wednesday in Logan’s 11-1 home win over Scott, Logan also hit three home runs — two by Kelsey Ward and another long ball from Mitchell.
“The softballs are flying out of this ballpark,” Logan coach Randy Robinette said. “I’m not sure what is going on but it’s always nice to see. Overall, we’re playing very well.”
Napier had two hits, including the home run and had three RBI in Thursday’s game. Queen drove in two runs and Mitchell one.
Steph Curry had a double and a single with two RBI.
Khyra Wright and Chelsea Napier added hits for the Lady Cats.
Logan was scheduled to host Point Pleasant on Friday and play at Winfield on Saturday, weather permitting. The Lady Cats play at St. Albans on Monday at 5:30 p.m. and host Nitro on Tuesday at 5:30.
St. Albans and Nitro are Logan’s two Class AAA sectional opponents.
