Sissonville swept the season series with the Chapmanville Regional High School softball team with Wednesday night’s 4-3 win at CRHS in a makeup game.
The Indians beat the Lady Tigers 3-1 earlier in the season at home.
Kendal Parkins was the starting and winning pitcher for Sissonville. She struck out 10 batters and also knocked in a run on the offensive end.
Alexee Haynes had two RBIs for the Indians.
Kenzie McCann struck out nine in a losing cause for Chapmanville.
Kara Browning also drove in a run for CRHS.
Chapmanville (14-5) won two games at the Best of the Best Tournament at Buffalo, taking a 7-4 win over Weirton Madonna and an 11-1 five-inning victory over Ritchie County.
The Lady Tigers were slated to play Wirt County in the Class AA-A Best of the Best tourney on Saturday.
The Logan girls beat Lincoln County 8-7 on Friday at the Best of the Best, then lost to Parkersburg South, 6-4, in 10 innings.
No further information was available on the four Best of the Best games.
Logan (11-7) was slated to play Wheeling Park on Saturday in the tournament.
Poca 4, Logan 1
The Logan High School softball team lost 4-1 at home to Poca on Thursday night at the Logan Softball Complex.
Logan fell to 10-6 on the season with the loss and dropped its second straight game.
Steph Curry, Kelsey Ward and Chelsea Napier all had singles for Logan.
Hana Sedlock was the starting and losing pitcher for the Lady Cats. She struck out eight.
