CHAPMANVILLE — The Logan 9-10-year-old Little League All-Stars rolled to a 10-0 win over Pineville on Monday night in the District 2 Tournament at Chapmanville’s Tracy Vickers Field.

Logan, which improved to 2-0 in the double-elimination tourney, held Pineville (1-1) to no hits.

The game was stopped after four innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Logan had opened the tournament with a 19-0 win over Man on Sunday.

Konner Lowe, Jarron Glick and Ryan Roberts combined on Monday’s no-hitter.

Logan got all the runs it needed with three in the first inning.

Logan was led on offense by Dawson Lowe who had three hits, including two triples and single while Lowe added two doubles of his own.

Garrett Williamson had hit and two RBI, while Trey Brown, Kolten Goldie, Roberts, Caden Dotson, Caleb Vance and Jake Ramey all had singles.

Pineville’s Garrett Mitchell suffered the loss on the mound.

Man 10, Welch 4

The Man 9-10 all-stars picked up its first win in the District 2 tourney with a 10-4 victory over Welch in Monday’s nightcap.

Welch held a slim 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the third frame, but Man rallied and sent eight batters to the plate, scoring three runs to take the lead for good at 6-4 off Welch starter Kimmeri Vineyard.

Jace Adkins led off with a single and Colton Miller reached on an error, scoring Adkins to knot the game at 4-4.

Jeremiah Harless then ripped a double in the gap, scoring Miller to give Man the lead for good at 5-4. Harless later scored on a wild pitch to give Man a 6-4 advantage.

Man broke the game open in the bottom of the fourth inning on a bases loaded, three-run double by Drake Veres to make it 9-4.

Veres later stole home to give Man 10-4 lead.

Man was led in hitting by Veres with a triple and three RBI, while Bradley Brown had a double and a single.

Harless and Hunter Gibson each had a double, while Jaden Brumfield, Bo Thompson and Jace Adkins each had a single.

Welch’s Jacob Haggerty had an inside-the-park homer for three RBIs in a losing cause.

Veres picked up the win on the mound for the Man All-Stars.
