It was a Senior Night win for the Logan High School tennis team over county rival Man, 5-2, on Tuesday at the LHS tennis courts.
Both the Logan boys and girls were winners over Man.
The Logan girls now stand at 5-2 on the season.
The Lady Wildcats got wins by Hayley Hatfield, RaeAnne Reed, Sami Simpson and Cassidy Kazee. Logan also won in doubles play as Hatfield and Reed won their match.
The Logan boys also improved to 5-2 with the victory over the Hillbillies.
Logan’s singles wins came from Cameron Adkins, Trevor Adkins and Chase Ooten.
In doubles play against Man, the Logan No. 1 doubles team of Cameron Adkins and Ooten won 8-5. In No. 2 doubles play, Trevor Adkins and Kyle Fleming won a come-from-behind match by the score of 9-7.
Logan honored its three senior players — Simpson, Hatfield and Trevor Adkins.
Simpson plans on attending SWVCC and then go on to pursue a degree in nuclear medicine and sign language.
Hatfield has qualified every season for the state tournament and plans on going to Fairmont State University to major in business. She will be signing to play collegiate tennis at Fairmont State next week.
Trevor Adkins has been a four-year member of the LHS tennis team and plans on getting into the autobody industry and hopes to someday up his own shop in the future.
The Logan tennis team will be back in action Saturday at the Logan High School tennis courts with a tri-match between Point Pleasant and Lincoln County. The first serve is set for 10 a.m.
