The Logan High School softball team dropped a pair of games to Point Pleasant in a home-and-away series as the Lady Cats fell to 13-12 on the season.
Logan lost 1-0 on Thursday night at home, then dropped another one-run game on Friday at Point Pleasant with a 4-3 setback.
In Friday’s game, the Lady Cats blew a 3-0 lead as Point Pleasant (16-6) plated one run in the bottom of the sixth and three in the seventh to grab the win.
Point’s Kelsey Price and Cammy Hesson had RBIs to tie the game and Karissa Cochran singled with one out in the seventh for the game winner. The Lady Knights improved to 16-6 and won its 10th straight game.
Logan had scored two runs in the top of the second and one in the fourth. Both teams committed one error.
Steph Curry was 2-for-4 with two RBI to lead Logan. Curry was the starting pitcher for LHS. She was relieved by Hana Sedlock in the seventh.
Sedlock was 2-for-2 with a double. Hannah Vance also had an RBI.
Logan has lost five straight games.

The Logan High School softball team suffered a hard-luck 1-0 shutout loss at home to Point Pleasant on Thursday night at home in a makeup game.
Cameron Hesson singled in the only run of the game in the top of the fifth inning to give the Lady Knights the road win.
Karissa Cochran pitched the shutout win for Point Pleasant (15-6), which won its ninth straight game. It was her third straight shutout as she allowed just three hits and struck out six.
Brooklyn Queen, Hana Sedlock and Steph Curry all singled for Logan.
Sedlock took the loss on the hill for the Lady Cats.
Logan played an error-free game. Point had one error.
The Lady Cats were slated to host Winfield on Saturday in a home doubleheader. Logan hosts Westside on Monday and plays at Chapmanville on Tuesday in a pair of 5:30 p.m. games.
