The Logan High School softball team got out of its funk with Wednesday night’s 4-0 win at home over Wyoming East on Senior Night.
Logan (15-14) has been in a tailspin down the stretch of the season by going 1-7 over its last games going into the game. LHS had lost 8-0 at county rival Chapmanville on Tuesday night.
The Lady Cats honored its four senior players — Hana Sedlock, Sarah Browning Monica Mitchell and Brooklyn Queen.
Sedlock pitched the win as she fired a one-hitter over seven innings. She struck out seven and walked five. She also had a single, a double and two RBI at the plate.
Queen had two singles, while Chelsea Napier doubled and drove in two runs. Jared Oney and Steph Curry both singled.
Logan was scheduled to play at Man on Thursday and then travel to Sherman on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Next Tuesday, Logan travels to St. Albans to play either Nitro or St. Albans in the Class AAA sectional tourney.
* The Man High School softball team’s home game against Scott on Wednesday night was rained out.
