CYSL: Blue Inferno cracks Grey Skulls

In last weekend’s feature Coalfield Youth Soccer League match, the Blue Inferno defeated the Grey Skulls 5-2 in a 17-and-under match played on the turf at Logan Stadium.

Walker Jeffery scored two goals for the winners, while Kyle Browning, Dino Noe and Joey Vinson tallied one goal each. Zachary Lamb and Cameron Adkins had goals for the Grey Skulls.

In a 12-and-under match, Havoc shut out the Grasshoppers 13 to nil. Jesse Justice reached the nets five times for Havoc. Tanner Clay had two goals and Michael Ojeda, Hunter Adams, Bryson Adkins, Donna Rakes, Ethan Estep and Dillon Holton had one goal apiece.

The White Lightning won 12-1 over Infinity behind Anthony Page’s five goals. Madison Mullins had a hat trick, Madison Hoffman had two goals and Payton Hoffman and Jenna Tomblin had one goal each. Infinity’s goal was scored by Jaxon Tipton.

In another U12 match, the Vikings won 10 to nil over the Thundercats. The Vikings were led by Peyton Thompson’s four goals. Emily Runyon had three goals, Bralen Adams two and Brionna Crawford one.

In the 9-and-under division, the Orange Crush doubled up on the Coal Diggers with a 6-3 win. Gavin Noe led the Crush with three goals. Conner Higginbotham had two and Carmen Mahon one. Garrett Dean had two goals to pace the Diggers. There was also an own goal counted.

The Chaos beat the Grape Apes 12-5 as Westin Adkins and Kendan Trent both had five goals. Austin Bishop had two goals. For the Grape Apes, James Thompson had a hat trick and Jacob Deer had two goals.

In another U9 match, the Masters of Disaster won 8-3 over the Strikers. The MOD got four goals from Hallie Crouse and two each from Carter Neal and Madison Haugen. The Strikers were led by Lexi Gillman’s two goals. Braydon Craddock had one goal.

The Avalanche won a 10-9 game over the Warriors in a game that went to penalty kicks. The Avalanche won on penalty kicks 3-2 to take the match. For the Avalanche, Aiden Baker and Cameron Hoffman had three goals each. Hunter Baker had two and Chloe Baker and Tracsette Elmore netted one goal each. For the Warriors, Kaleb Burford had five goals. Raelynn Mendez had two and Landon Bourne and Bryce Gilman had one goal each.

The Sharks prevailed 10-3 over the Giants as Jonathan Ferrell scored six big goals. Izabella Kirk had two and Chase Kirk one. Brady Thompson had two goals for the Giants. Both teams had own goals counted.

Wasp was also a 7-3 winner over the Crusaders. Briar Harvey had four goals for the winners. Ethyn Clark, Landon Hale and Braeden Smith all had one goal each. For the Crusaders, Taylor Wolford tallied two goals and Braxton Caldwell had one.

In a makeup game played last Thursday, the Grape Apes won 6-4 over the Strikers. James Thompson led the Grape Apes with five goals while Brandon Altizer had one. Braydon Craddock netted all four goals for the Strikers.
