CYSL: Grasshoppers, Infinity fit to be tied

A tie match.

In a 12-and-under game last weekend in the Coalfield Youth Soccer League, the Grasshoppers and Infinity played to a 6-6 tie. For the Grasshoppers, Sierra Jones scored three goals, Jacob Williamson had two and Skylar McRae one. Jaxon Tipton and Matthew Smith tallied a hat trick each for Infinity. The winner will be determined in penalty kicks this coming Saturday.

In a 17-and-under match, the Grey Skulls won 12 to nil over the Fireballs. Zachary Lamb and Cameron Adkins reached the nets three times each. Stephen Clemens had two goals and Hailey Chewning, James Bryant, Dillon Renniger and Ryan Belcher all had one goal each.

In a U12 match, Havoc was a 9 to nil winner over the Thundercats. Brayden Likens had six goals while Jesse Justice had two and Tanner Clay one.

The White Lightning won 7-2 over the Vikings behind Anthony Page’s three goals. Jamari Turner had two and Luke Spurlock and Payton Hoffman tallied one goal each. For the Vikings, Peyton Thompson and Brooklyn White had one goal each.

In the 9-and-under division, the Avalanche were a 12-2 winner over Wasp. Aiden Baker led the Avs with six goals. Hunter Baker had three, Cameron Hoffman two and Chloe Baker one. Colton Justice and Briar Harvey had one each.

The Chaos routed the White Sharks 19-4 as Kendan Trent reached the nets 10 times. Westin Adkins had four goals, Austin Bishop had two and Brayden Bishop, Rilee Hatfield and Gracie Tackett all had one each. For the White Sharks, Brackston Kirk had two goals and Izabella Kirk and Jerimiah Browning tallied one goal each.

The Warriors doubled up on the Masters of Disasters with a 10-5 win. Kaleb Burford had five goals for the Warriors, while Landon Bourne had three and Raelynn Mendez two. For MOD, Carter Neal had three goals and Madison Haugen and Hallie Crouse had one each.

In a close match, the Strikers won 7-6 over the Crusaders. Braydon Craddock led the winners with three goals. Shelby Mullins, Lexi Gillman, Gary Collins and Jaycee Noe had one each. Taylor Wolford paced the Crusaders with five goals and Brooklyn Allsbrooks had one.

The Orange Crush won 8-3 over the Grape Apes as Gavin Noe scored five goals for the Crush. Darian Woods, Jacob Runyon and Conner Higginbotham netted one goal each. Brandon Altizer scored two goals and James Thompson one for the Grape Apes.

The Coal Diggers won 24 to nil over the Giants. Leland Anderson, Hunter Bryant and Gavin Stollings led the way with four goals apiece. Garrett Dean, Cammye Kovach and Ryan Bell had three each, Tyler Oney scored two and Addyson Perry had one.
