It was an easy time for the Logan-based Blue Inferno soccer club as the team defeated the Man Fireballs 12 to nil last weekend in 17-and-under Coalfield Youth Soccer League action.
Joey Vinson led the Blue Inferno with four goals, while Walker Jeffery had three and Dino Noe two. Wesley Macnamara and Erika Smith each had a goal. There was also an own goal counted.
In a 12-and-under match, the Vikings conquered Infinity 7-3 behind two goals each from Allie Burton, Peyton Thompson and Bralen Adams. Brionna Crawford also reached the nets. For Infinity, Jaxon Tipton had two goals and Matthew Smith one.
In another U12 game, Havoc was a 3-1 winner over the White Lightning. Jesse Justice scored two goals and Brayden Likens one. Anthony Page tallied the only goal for the White Lightning.
The Grasshoppers were a 8-7 winner over the Thundercats as Maria Lane netted seven goals. Charity Toth had the other goal. For the Thundercats, Damon Moore scored a hat trick and Angel Conley, Cheyenne Robinson, Alea Meade and Kaylie Toler all had one each.
In a 9-and-under match, the Orange Crush crushed the Giants 20 to nil. Gavin Noe led the Crush with seven goals, while Darian Woods had five. Carmen Mahon and Jacob Runyon had two goals apiece and Jon Stevin Hoosier, Victoria Maynard, Savannah Carpenter and Reagan Lukacs all netted one goal each.
The Chaos won 20-5 over the Coal Diggers behind the 10-goal effort from Kendan Trent. Westin Adkins tallied six goals and Austin Bishop and Rilee Hatfield had two each. For the Coal Diggers, Tyler Oney had two goals to lead the way. Garrett Dean, Trinity Trump and Cammye Kovach had one each.
The White Sharks won a close one over the Grape Apes, 5-4. Jonathan Ferrell had three goals and Brackston Kirk two for the Sharks. Brandon Altizer led the Grape Apes with two goals. Jacob Deer and Casandra Ooten had one each.
Avalanche won 13 to nil over the Crusaders. For the Avs, Cameron Hoffman, Aiden Baker and Hunter Baker all had four goals each and Chloe Baker netted one goal.
The Warriors were an 11-4 winner over the Strikers. Raelynn Mendez and Landon Bourne led the Warriors with five goals each. Kaleb Burford had one goal. For the Strikers, Braydon Craddock netted a hat trick and Lexi Gillman had one goal.
MOD also won a forfeit in its match with Wasp.
