Logan’s WV Dream teams continues to roll

The West Virginia Dream seventh and eighth-grade AAU girls’ basketball teams continue to roll.

The seventh-grade Dream squad, a Logan-based team, is currently 26-5 on the season with five tournament championships.

The team recently won the East Fairmont Classic over Mother’s Day weekend, which was their third straight in that event.

The Dream also went to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., over Memorial Day Weekend and went undefeated in winning that event.

This past weekend, the seventh-grade Dream team won the Elite Championships tourney in Parkersburg.

Ashton Conn, Makayla May and Peyton Ilderton were named to the all-tourney team and Jill Tothe was named tourney MVP. Other team members are Jace Litton, Emma Elkins, Raegan Quick, Gracie Jones and Becca Castle.

The Dream eighth-grade team currently has a record of 26-7 and also has captured five tourney championships.

The team recently went undefeated in the high school division in a Riverside tourney and this past weekend went undefeated in Parkersburg in the Elite Championships.

In the Parkersburg event, the Dream’s Carly McComas, Olivia Dalton and Ali Williamson were named to the all-tournament team and Gracie Brumfield was named tourney MVP.

Other team members include Allie Farmer, Peyton Ilderton, Jill Tothe and Gracie Jones.

Both of the Dream teams are scheduled to be playing in the AAU Nationals at Myrtle Beach, S.C., beginning on June 30.
