Man claimed the state championship on Monday night with a 4-0 win over Huntington in the State Intermediate Baseball Tournament at Huntington.

Corey Miller pitched a one-hit shutout for Man, striking out 12 batters.

The win advanced Man to the Southeast Regional in the Orlando, Fla., area. Man is scheduled to face the North Carolina state champion on July 21 at 1 p.m. in the first round of the regionals.

* In the 9-10-year-old Little League state tournament, Bridgeport is scheduled to meet Ona on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the state championship game at Tygarts Valley.

The winner advances to the Southeast Regionals.
