CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — The Chapmanville Middle School football team ran its record to 2-0 on the season with a 48-14 win over Duval last Thursday night.
Isaac Dixon led the way for CMS with four touchdowns — two rushing, one on a punt return and the other on a kick return. He also ran in a two-point conversion.
Nick Ramey added two more scores for the Tigers — one on a punt return and one receiving.
Keaundre Likens finished out the scoring for Chapmanville with a 55-yard TD run.
Chapmanville’s Jordan Hayes passed for one score and threw for one conversion. Jaxson Turner was on the receiving end of the two-point conversion pass.
Defensively, CMS was led by Dominic Tomblin with 12 tackles. Dixon and Kevin Hanshaw had 10 tackles each. Evan Plumley and Josh Atwood finished with seven tackles apiece. Plumley also had a fumble recovery.
The Tigers are scheduled to host the Poca Dots (2-0) this Thursday night at Tiger Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
