CRHS wins county golf title

Chapmanville Regional High School’s Austin Bledsoe was the medalist in the recent Logan County Golf Championships.


CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — The Chapmanville Regional High School golf team recently captured the Logan County championship by topping rivals Logan and Man at the Logan Country Club.

Chapmanville, led by medalist Austin Bledsoe, finished with a 122. Bledsoe had the lowest score as he shot a 37. Braiden Dickerson had a 40 and JD Ferrell a 45 for the Tigers.

Logan was the county runner-ups with a 131. Jarrett Adkins and Kaleb Thompson paced the Wildcats as each fired a 50 for the day. Alexis Perry and Lexi Jo Canterbury each had a 41 with Caleb Lawson having a 49 and Kolby Kinney a 57.

Man High School was a distant third with a 177. John McCoy led the Hillbillies as he shot a 44. Braxton Nelson had a 66 and Dylan Goodman and Jackson Vance each had a 67.

Bledsoe, Dickerson, Perry, Canterbury, McCoy and Ferrell were named to the all-county team.

Chad Preston and the Oceana State Farm Office were the sponsors of the event.
