• The TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion) test is given each month at Ralph R. Willis Career and Technical Center (RRWCTC) on the Three Mile Curve in Logan County. The TASC test has replaced the GED test in West Virginia. TASC is the brand name and registered trademark for a test used to measure high school competencies. The TASC tests were developed to allow adults a “second opportunity” to prove the acquisition of contemporary high school skills and life skills. For thousands of West Virginians who have not completed high school, the issuance of the State of West Virginia General Educational Development (TASC) Diploma, based on the five TASC content area tests, provides them with the opportunity to demonstrate academic skills at a high school level of competency.

To increase successful results, before taking the TASC test all potential test takers must pass the TASC Readiness Assessment test in the Adult Education class at RRWCTC or the Adult Education class at Southern WV Community and Technical College.

For more information call Mike York at 304-752-4687 at RRWCTC or Robin York at 304-792-7098 at SWVCTC.

Dates for the TASC test are March 15 and 17, April 19 and 21, May 10 and 11, June 14 and 15, and July 19 and 20.
