Former Logan High School girls’ basketball player and current Marshall University freshman standout Shayna Gore was honored at Saturday night’s Logan-Winfield girls’ game. Gore was recognized with a banner in the field house for being last year’s Gatorade State Player of the Year. Gore scored 1,993 career points — the most ever for a Logan High School girls’ or boys’ player. Also honored with a banner inside Willie Akers Arena was Logan baseball’s Z. Minnick, also last year’s Gatorade State Player of the Year.
