The Grand Commandery of Knights Templar for the State of West Virginia will have an inspection at the Logan Commandery No. 26 at the Masonic Temple on Main Street in Logan Saturday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. The Right Eminent Commander Edward E. Ball of Weirton has indicated he will attend the inspection, weather permitting. Also present will be 2011-2012 Eminent Grand Generalissimo Paul Oliver Davis. Davis was born in Kenova on Nov. 2, 1943. He is a graduate of Buffalo High School in Wayne County and attended Marshall University. He entered the United States Air Force in 1961 and was honorably discharged in 1961. Davis is retired from AK Steel at Ashland, Ky. He served four years as negotiator and grievance chairman for Local 1865 United Steel Workers. He spent 25 years coaching youth baseball, ages 5-18, and being an active Shrine Clown. His hobbies include model railroads and making stained glass artwork. Paul has been married to Shirley Neff Davis for 40 years, and they have one son, Paul Oliver Davis II. His Masonic affiliations include Member of Kenova Lodge No. 110, Kenova; Past High Priest of Kenova Chapter No. 46 Royal Arch Masons which merged with Huntington Chapter No. 6; member of Huntington Chapter No. 6 RAM; Past Commander of Huntington Commandery No. 9, Knights Templar; Past Treasurer of Huntington Commandery No. 9; Current Recorder of Huntington Commandery No. 9; Member of Beni Kedem Temple; Past President of Huntington Shrine Club Clowns; Current President of Huntington Shrine Club; Past Watchman of Shepherds, Wscerkova Shrine No. 14, White Shrine of Jerusalem, and a Charter Member of C.W. Wise York Rite College No. 137. All Sir Knights, and their ladies, of Logan Commandery No. 26 are urged to attend this important event. A special meal will be provided for this event courtesy of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 60.
