CHAPMANVILLE - A hail storm October 18 caused extensive damage at a Logan County business.

The hail damaged hundreds of new and used cars, as well as 12 customer vehicles.

“It’s disheartening. These cars will stand up to normal size hail with no damage. I knew we were in trouble when I saw it come down nickel sized, then go up to golf ball size,” said Operations Manager Everett Frazier.

A insurance adjuster at the Chapmanville lots at Thornhill GM Superstore, Thornhill Ford Lincoln, and Thornhill Suzuki found dents on the surface of nearly every car in the inventory.

“It was like little bombs going off,” said Frazier. “All we could do was stand by and watch.”

Thornhill invites anyone interested in buying one of the damaged cars at a discounted price to visit the dealership.
