MANASSAS, Va. — Betty L. White May, 73, of Manassas, Va., went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at her home.
Born July 31, 1939, in Logan, she was a daughter of the late Mason Z. and Mollie O. White. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Dallas R. White.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry May; brothers, Bernard of Drexel, N.C., and Richard of Chapmanville.
Betty retired in 2006 from Culbertson Co. of Virginia where she worked in the bookkeeping department. Prior to that, she worked at Skippy’s Trucking in Manassas and State Farm Ins.
She was a loving, gracious and generous person with an outgoing personality who enjoyed life, her friends, children and cooking.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, Va.
The family will also receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, November 2, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 3. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to VFD Coles and or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
Miller Funeral Home of Woodbridge, Va., is in charge of the arrangements.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is handling local arrangements.
