Emilio Sarria has been named the new director of dietary services at Logan Regional Medical Center. Sarria brings with him a long, distinguished career in food service.
“Some of the area’s most delicious, as well as nutritious food will be served here at Logan Regional Medical Center. It’s not everyday day that food of this quality and variety is found in a hospital,” said John Walker, hospitals CEO.
Sarria graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Sacred Heart College in Spain. Following college, he successfully trained as chef in England, France, and Italy. He has worked aboard luxury cruise ships and hotels. Sarria came to the United States and worked for Aramark Food Services. He has headed up the dietary services at Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln, Me., Saint Edwards College in Austin, Texas, Dodge City and Western Plains.
“Variety is the spice of life and I believe it also positively impacts the healing process,” said Sarria.
