The Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Ladies Aid honored one of their members on October 2 with a dinner and plaque presentation for her tireless efforts and contributions to her church and community.
Sara Pennington has been a member of the church for more than 10 years, and has always been valiant in her efforts. Pennington raised the most in the fund raisers, in addition to her donations to the church and community.
Those in attendance were the honoree, Sara Pennington, Norma White, Gail Ferrell, Nadine McKnight, Sue Boytek, Virgil Chafin, Edith Collins, Maxine Copley, Flora Estrathers, Charlie Estrathers, Ethan Miller, Liz Calloway, Linda Blevins, Isiah Blevins, Virginia Ellixson, Janet Clark, Sue Johnson, Sandy Trent, Lorene Estrathers, Thelma Spry, Brenda Blankenship, Imogene Spurlock, Connie Smith and Jayla Smith.
