LOGAN – A search for a juvenile offender results in Taylor Wooten, 28, of Switzer, facing charges in a criminal complaint dated Dec. 7.

West Virginia State Troopers C. D. Kuhn and T. D. Boggs were assisting Logan County Juvenile Probation in their attempts to find a youth who was wanted for a parole violation.

The officers obtained information of a possible location the juvenile could be hiding. They located Robert Sprigg’s residence at Omar. Sprigg told the officers there should be no one in his residence. Sprigg allowed the officers to search his residence. In doing so, they found the juvenile and Mr. Wooten.

Mr. Sprigg advised the officers that neither of the subjects were in his home when he left and that they had conspired and entered the residence without his consent. Wooten had been informed on Dec. 6 that the juvenile was wanted for a probation violation and he concealed the juvenile from Logan County Probation and the West Virginia State Police.

Wooten was charged with burglary, conspiracy, and concealment of a juvenile and lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail. Bond was set at $3500.
