Victim detains suspect
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary call on December 19 at McConnell and found the victim had already detained the suspect.
Deputies N.M. Booth and M.B. Carter report that in responding to a burglary in progress at Faded Oaks Drive, they arrived to find the victim holding the suspect, Jonathan Blake Justice, 27, of Stollings, on the ground in the front yard.
The victim had allegedly found Justice in an outbuilding trying to take items. After being taken into custody, Justice reportedly told officers about a bottle of pills in his pocket for which he did not have a prescription.
Justice was charged with nighttime burglary, possession of a controlled substance and domestic battery. His bond was set at $10,000.
