During a trip to Branson, Mo., Jack Porter was invited to join Doug Gabriel on stage and do an impersonation of Elvis Presley.

Those attending reported that Porter was a hit.

Porter was among a group of friends from the Logan area who traveled to Branson for a week of fun and entertainment. The group attended seven headliner shows, including the Doug Gabriel show.

Accompanying Porter on this trip was his wife Jenny; James and Helen Lytton, friends from Beckley, and Mac and Alice Altizer, Bessie Baisden, Louise Bently, Louise Propst, Betty Pozege, Judy and Ronnie Hainor, Emma Whitt, Buddy White, Shirley McClure, Norma Nelson, Opal and Bob Bell and Taylor.

Bernida Justice of Liahona Tours and Jerry Hostetter of Sunshine Tours hosted the trip.
