CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Elza Helmondollar, 91, of Chapmanville, was born October 1, 1921, at Jenkins Jones, a son of the late James William and Mae Cunningham Helmondollar. He departed this life Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Helmondollar was a painter, member of the Stone Branch Church of God and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Kathleen R. Helmondollar; daughter, Evelyn Dalton; grandson, Josh Helmondollar; several brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his children, Jake (Gail) Helmondollar of Clermont, Fla., Deborah (Terry) Eskins of Columbia, S.C., and Carrie Damron (Earl) of Bremen; grandchildren, Eddie Helmondollar, Brittany Hitte, Matthew and Jason Eskins, Justin Damron and Billie Jo Kevert; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 12, at Stone Branch Church of God with Rev. Chris Hitte and Rev. Harry Joe Dingess officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville.
