CHAPMANVILLE – A series of drug buys arranged by the U.S. 119 Drug Task Force ended with a Chapmanville man facing multiple charges.

Chad Randall Davis, 35, has been charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance – 15 grams and obstruction. If convicted, Davis will face prison for a period of not less than one year nor more than five years, a fine not more than $15,000, or both.

Criminal complaints filed in Logan County Magistrate Court and dated November 16, 21, 27, 2012, were all arranged drug buys where Davis sold cooperating individuals a substance believed to be Methamphetamine in exchange for U.S. currency previously recorded.

On February 1, 2013, law enforcement officers went to execute an arrest warrant on Davis at his residence located at 103 Bledsoe Apartments, Chapmanville. As they entered the apartment, the accused was walking from the kitchen area and the officers observed a green, leafy substance on the kitchen counter and in a small plastic bag in the sink. The accused admitted to the officers the substance was marijuana and admitted trying to hide it from the officers.

Bond for Davis was set at $15,000.
