CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Nell D. Vannatter, 86, of Chapmanville, departed this life Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Geneva, Ohio.

Born May 17, 1926, in Leet, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Una Browning. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Glenn Vannatter; son, Roger Glenn Vannatter; granddaughter, Christine Butcher; great-grandson, Wyatt Rangel, and four brothers, Howard, Frank, Cecil, and Leland Browning;.

Nell was a member of the Victory Freewill Baptist Church, and enjoyed yard selling.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters: Diana D. (Roger) Miller of Geneva and Kathy (Emmett) Butcher of Huron, Ohio, two sons, Michael B. Vannatter of Chapmanville and Gregory L. Vannatter of Danville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rocky Chafin officiating. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Pallbearers were Michael Howell, Brian Vannatter, Lee Miller, Robert Harmon, Emmett R. Butcher, and David Browning.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville was in charge of arrangements.
