Logan Elementary School held its first annual Inaugural Ball to honor the recently elected Student Leadership Team on February 2, 2013. The leadership team of third and fourth grade students was elected by their peers with an actual election process that consisted of campaign signs/slogans, speeches and voting.
During the inauguration, the team, escorted by their parents, was inducted with an oath promising to fairly represent the ideas and concerns of their classmates, to set a good example for their peers, to be good citizens, and to be the best that they can be.
The leadership team meets on Wednesday with Scott Justice, Principal, who created the team when he came to the school in October. The student leaders are responsible for bringing student concerns to the attention of the staff and for helping plan student-based activities. The Student Leadership Team assisted Mr. Justice and the staff in updating the School Safety Plan.
