Hall faces misdemeanor and felony charges
West Virginia State Police responded to a domestic call from a residence at Logan.
Upon arrival, the officers observed Jody Dale Hall, 42, of Logan, curse and yell at the victim, Kellie Cochrane.
When the officers spoke with Hall, they noticed the odor of alcohol. When officers asked if he had been drinking, he told them yes.
Hall was arrested and charged with domestic assault first/second (by threats) and public intoxication.
Last month, troopers from the Logan Detachment conducted a sex offender compliance check. During the check, attempts were made to reach Hall by telephone using the number he had provided on his last registry on May 12, 2012. They were told Hall had not lived at the residence in over a year.
On September 28, 2007, Hall was convicted on two counts of attempted sexual battery on two girls, a five-year-old and an eleven-year-old. The conviction requires a lifetime obligation to register.
Officers patrolling Logan encountered Hall, who told them he was going to the office that day to register.
Hall was also charged with two counts of failure to register, which is a felony.
