MUSICK, W.Va. — Freda Mae Bragg, 89 of Musick, departed this life Monday, April 22, 2013, at her home.


Born February 26, 1924, at High Corbin, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Demp and Mary Long Kirk. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Hollie Bragg, and a brother, William Kirk.


Freda was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Varney and was a homemaker.


Her survivors include three sisters, Lucy Black of Lincoln Park, Mich., Patricia (Tom) Weldon of Wayne, Mich., and Viola Laurie of Ecorse, Mich.; two brothers, Ronald Kirk of North Manchester, Ind., and Martin (Melissa) Kirk of Gilbert, and several nieces and nephews.


The family would like to give special thanks to Freda’s Caregivers for the past four months.


Services honoring Freda’s life will be conducted at 1p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Chafin Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Snodgrass officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.


Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.


Pallbearers will be Jared and Aaron Stone, David Rasnick, Paul Blankenship and Randall and Shane Justice.


Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Stone, Greg, Roger and Dwain Gwinn and Ronnie Diamond. Condolences may be left at ww.chafinfuneralhome.com


Chafin Funeral Home of Delbarton is in charge of arrangements.
