BRUNO, W.Va. — Our precious daughter, Rebecca Grace Blankenship, was born May 1, 2013, and in a few short hours she went home to be with Jesus. A beautiful Angel that was loved by so many, but Jesus needed her more so he chose our beautiful baby girl to come live with him in Heaven.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her namesake, her aunt Rebecca Renee Goodman; her Grandpa, Wendell “Pork” Morgan; her great-grandparents, Thurman and Lottie Goodman, L.C. and Jo Mae Blankenship and Bill Jeffrey; her great-grandpa, Wirt Morgan Jr., and her great uncle, Steven Ray “Bubba” Jeffery.
Those who loved her dearly and will always cherish her memory include her parents, Gary II and Misty Morgan Blankenship; brother, Steven Ray Blankenship; grandparents, Lottie Jean Morgan, Robin Jeffery Blankenship and Scottie White, and Gary and Lynn Blankenship; great-grandmas: Beatrice Jeffery and Daisy Morgan; aunt, Contessa (Rodney) Blair; cousins: Rodney Keith, Kaleb and Austin Blair, and many more family and friends.
Services will commence at noon Sunday, May 5, at Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church at Bruno with the Rev. Bill Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning Grimmett Cemetery at Bruno.
Friends may gather with the family from 11 a.m.-noon Sunday at the church.
Rebecca will be carried to her final resting place by her daddy, Gary Blankenship II, who loved her and so wanted to raise “Daddy’s lil Girl”.
She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
