BYESVILLE, Ohio — Ralph Edward Brown Sr., 81, of Holden, departed this life Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at the home of his daughter in Cambridge, Ohio.

Born May 22, 1928, in Logan, he was a son of the late Robert and Elsie Brown. Also preceding him in death was his wife of 58 years, Ina Lorene Epperly Brown; three sisters, Helen Brown Ganoti, Eleanor Brown Dotson and Mildred Brown McKenzie, and one brother, James Quinton Brown.

Ralph worked for 32 years as a shop teacher for the Logan County school system.

Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Carrie (DeWayne) Christine Kackley of Cambridge; two sons; Ralph (Terrie) Edward Brown Jr. of Holden and David (Lisa) Brown of Scott Depot; one brother, Robert Brown of Ravenswood; grandchildren, Jason Brown of Williamson, Brandon Brown of Indianapolis, Indi., Mimnaugh Hill, Christopher Hill and Michelle Hill of Cambridge, Brian Mullins of Chapmanville, Shana Mullins Blair of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Nicholas and Jacob Brown of Scott Depot and two great-grandchildren, Ian Kackley and Colton Moore of Cambridge.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 4, at the Honaker Funeral Home in Logan with Rev. Joaquine Ooten officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Military Graveside Rites.

Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, October 3, at the funeral home.
