ACCOVILLE, W.Va. — James Oliver Bragg Jr., 69, of Accoville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 7, 2013, from Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

Born August 7, 1943, at Boissevain, Va., he was a son of the late James and Barbara Atkinson Bragg. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Charles Richmond, Richard Richmond, and Joseph Bragg; one nephew, Don I. Bragg; his parents-in-law, Ab and Hazel Zirkle; two brothers-in-law, Howard Copley and Joe Zirkle, and one sister-in-law, Sheila Mullins.

James was a coal miner for 30 years, retiring from Pittston Coal Company and a proud member of the UMWA District 17. An avid outdoorsman, James loved fishing, hunting, and camping with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Tonnia Bragg; one daughter, Jessica Bragg of Man; one son, Joshua Goodman of Accoville; two sisters, Joyce (Robert) Imes of Accoville and Barbara Copley of Crown; three brothers, David (Brenda) Bragg and Johnny (Linda) Bragg, both of Accoville, and Robert (Norma) Bragg of White Sulphur Springs; one sister-in-law, Sherry (Jerry) Mullins of Columbus, Ohio; one brother-in-law, John Zirkle of Columbus, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, February 10, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Harry “Buddy” Hager officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
